We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Collections Specialist to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will manage accounts receivable, working directly with clients to resolve payment issues while maintaining positive business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and track invoice status, proactively following up with clients on overdue accounts.
- Monitor accounts receivable and identify payment issues requiring attention.
- Negotiate payment schedules and arrangements when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all client communications and payment activities.
- Code and enter account information with precision and attention to detail.
- Resolve billing inquiries and address client concerns professionally.
- Prepare regular reports on collection and payment activities.
- Experience in professional services collections (legal industry experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven negotiation abilities with a diplomatic approach.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
- Ability to be assertive and persistent while maintaining professional client relationships.
