Billing Specialist Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices for construction projects, including progress billings, T&M billing, and final invoices
- Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure billing aligns with terms and scope
- Track and reconcile job costs, labor hours, materials, and subcontractor charges
- Maintain billing schedules and ensure timely submission of pay applications
- Work closely with project managers to verify percent-complete, retainage, and billing milestones
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Process lien waivers, certificates of insurance, and other required documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
- Maintain organized digital and physical billing records
- Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed
- 2 years of billing or accounting experience; construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with AIA billing, progress billing, and construction contract structures
- Proficiency with ERPE Systems
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
