Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to professional standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of approximately 3–6 accounting professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development.
- Delegate audit assignments and responsibilities effectively based on team members' experience and capabilities.
- Manage multiple client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement process.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding audit findings, recommendations, timelines, and other engagement matters.
- Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve audit processes, client service, and engagement efficiency.
- Assist with complex accounting and auditing issues and provide technical guidance to staff.
- Monitor engagement budgets, deadlines, and overall project performance.
- Participate in business development and contribute to the continued growth of client relationships.
- 5 years of progressive audit experience within public accounting.
- Public accounting experience is required.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience leading and developing audit teams.
- Experience managing client relationships and communicating directly with clients.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, auditing standards, and financial statement preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
