- Lead the full ratemaking and pricing process, including pricing indications and underwriting profitability analysis
- Oversee and manage complex Pricing projects, including quarterly rate adequacy reviews and internal rate indications
- Develop and enhance Pricing and Reserving tools, advancing methodology, automation, and data capture
- Oversee the Reserving process, including quarterly reserve reviews and monthly IBNR roll forwards
- Support new product development, pricing strategy, and implementation of rate changes
- Prepare and support rate filings and interact with regulatory authorities, including testimony when required
- Drive process improvements and provide actuarial insights to senior leadership
- Partner with Accounting, external actuaries, consultants, and auditors to support accurate financial reporting and Statements of Actuarial Opinion
- Perform complex data manipulation, automation, validation, and reconciliation
- Present analytical results and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Stay current on insurance industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial methods
- Lead special projects related to pricing, reserving, and financial analysis
- Over time, assume leadership responsibility for actuarial analyst teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Risk Management, or related field
- 4 years of actuarial experience, with homeowners and commercial lines experience strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong experience working with large data sets and actuarial modeling
- Proficiency in SQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar database languages preferred
- Proficiency in R, Python, VBA, or similar programming languages preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and presentation abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and complex projects
- Strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience
Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
