Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: South Bend, IN. (100% onsite)

Salary: $45,760 to $51,250

Join a growing team as an Accounts Payable Specialist! We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong understanding of debits and credits, account reconciliations, and accounts payable processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Review and code invoices using proper GL accounts.
• Maintain a strong understanding of debits and credits and their impact on financial records.
• Perform vendor statement and account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account analysis.
• Prepare and process ACH, wire, and check payments.
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and basic accounting principles.
• Experience performing account and vendor reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
