Accounts Payable Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced AP Manager to lead their accounts payable function and oversee a growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage daily AP operations, streamline processes, ensure compliance, and serve as a key liaison between finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of AP processes, and experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities Of The AP Manager Role

• Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and support.
• The AP Manager will oversee the accurate processing of vendor invoices, credit memos, and payment runs.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor AP aging, accruals, and month-end close tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits, internal controls, and compliance.
• The AP Manager will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to improve AP processes and workflows.
• Implement best practices for AP operations, including process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Support year-end filings, including 1099 preparation, and provide information for audits.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications Of The AP Manager Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of accounts payable experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• Strong proficiency with SAP (or other ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement.
