- Monitor and record all purchasing transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
- Review purchase orders and vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and coding to appropriate accounts.
- Reconcile purchase records with general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor master data including payment terms, tax information, and contact details.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing by preparing journal entries related to purchasing.
- Track and report on procurement budgets and variances.
- Collaborate with procurement to analyze vendor performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal purchasing policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and reports related to purchasing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or purchasing functions.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
