What are the responsibilities and job description for the Venue Logistics Manager position at CEVA Logistics?

The Venue Logistics Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational management of logistics for one or more venues supporting a large-scale, multi-site event.
This role ensures that all logistics flows, workforce, equipment, and systems are effectively designed, coordinated, and executed in full alignment with event requirements. The position works in close collaboration with the Organizing Committee, CEVA Contract Logistics, and key internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless and efficient venue operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Venue Operations & Logistics Design
- Lead the end-to-end operational design of venue logistics, including inbound, outbound, storage, and returns flows.
- Translate event requirements into practical, site-ready logistics processes.
- Ensure operational feasibility while maintaining efficiency, resilience, and security standards.
2. Logistics Structures & Resource Planning
- Design and implement all venue logistics structures, including:
- Workforce planning, sizing, and organizational structure
- Shift models, including 24/7 peak operations
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Material Distribution Systems (MDS)
- Inventory and stock control processes
- Internal logistics routes and circulation plans
- Align operational volumes with capacity, venue constraints, and available resources.
- Partner with CEVA solution design, operations, and support functions to:
- Develop optimal logistics configurations aligned with event, HSE, and security requirements
- Ensure consistency between planning assumptions and on-site operational feasibility
3. Health, Safety, Security & Compliance
- Define and implement venue-level Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies aligned with:
- CEVA standards
- Event organizing requirements
- Local regulations
- Collaborate closely with security and accreditation teams to ensure compliance and safe operations.
4. Contingency & Resilience Planning
- Develop and implement contingency, emergency, and redundancy plans to support:
- Continuous venue operations
- High-volume and peak activity periods
- Identify operational risks proactively and establish mitigation strategies.
5. Venue Operations Management
- Lead day-to-day logistics operations at the venue in coordination with:
- Venue leadership teams
- CEVA operational teams
- Internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee execution across:
- Workforce deployment and MHE utilization
- Material Distribution Systems (MDS)
- Security and accreditation interfaces
6. Operational Decision-Making & Reporting
- Make timely, data-driven operational decisions to ensure performance and service delivery.
- Produce daily reports including KPIs, incident tracking, volume metrics, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate and prioritize stakeholder requests related to venue logistics.
- Serve as the primary logistics point of contact for cross-functional leaders, ensuring alignment across:
- Venue configuration
- Operational integration
- Systems, tools, and process execution
Key Competencies & Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience, with 10 years in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale event logistics, complex site operations, or 24/7 environments.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, highly regulated environments.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience supporting large-scale, international events is strongly preferred.
Salary : $175,000 - $195,000
