Position Description: In this position, you would be the first point of contact for the patients, ensuring every patient's interaction reflects the commitment and compassion. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE!
Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information.
Process referrals and coordinate communication with healthcare providers.
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails.
Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with administrative projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; medical office experience preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare, medical office, or customer service environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes preferred.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
