Apartment Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Certified Apartment Staffing is seeking a dependable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Tallahassee, FL.

We are looking for someone with hands-on multifamily maintenance experience who can assist with daily work orders, apartment make-readies, preventative maintenance, and general property upkeep. HVAC experience and EPA certification are a plus!

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Perform apartment make-readies, including drywall repairs, painting, plumbing, and general repairs.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and property amenities.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Conduct routine property inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and property maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience preferred.
• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
• Ability to complete work orders and apartment make-readies independently.
• EPA certification preferred but not required.
• CPO certification is a plus.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance duties.
