Position Overview:
Cereus Marketers is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager who is an expert in Meta and TikTok, with a proven track record in content creation, community management, and paid social implementation. You will play a key role in developing and executing social media campaigns that drive engagement, build community, and deliver measurable results for a range of clients.
As this is a contract position, this role requires use of personal equipment.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Strategy:
- Develop and execute engaging content for Meta and TikTok platforms, aligned with client brand strategies and campaign goals.
- Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to generate unique and on-brand content ideas and formats.
- Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content using personal equipment to support social media campaigns and brand storytelling.
- Create content calendars and ensure timely execution across all social channels.
- Attend Client events and execute content capture - sharing real time and post event content.
Community Management:
- Actively engage with followers, monitor comments, and manage interactions across platforms to build a positive and engaged community.
- Identify opportunities to nurture audience relationships and foster community loyalty.
- Respond to inquiries, messages, and comments, escalating issues as needed and adhering to each brand’s tone and guidelines.
Paid Social Campaigns:
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid social campaigns on Meta and TikTok, including budget management, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
- Identify audience segments and develop tailored paid strategies to reach target demographics effectively.
- Stay updated on paid social best practices and platform updates to continuously improve campaign performance.
Post-Campaign Reporting:
- Generate detailed performance reports post-campaign to assess effectiveness, including insights and actionable recommendations.
- Present results to clients and internal teams, providing clear takeaways and next steps based on data.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure campaign success, refine future content strategies, and report on ROI and KPIs.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of social media management experience, with expertise in Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok.
- Strong understanding of social media advertising, with experience in managing paid campaigns on Meta and TikTok.
- Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools; experience in campaign measurement and optimization.
- Proficiency in photography and videography, including shooting, editing, and post-production using personal equipment.
- Demonstrated success in creating engaging content and building community on social platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to adapt tone and style to each client’s brand voice.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret priorities and project manage according to most urgent deadlines.
- Self-starter and self-motivated go getter who can take direction and run with it.

Location Requirements:
- Many of our Clients are based in Southern California and on-site Client meetings/ Client activations/ Client shoot attendance are a requirement of this role. Please only apply if you are able to fulfil these requirements.
Compensation Range:
- This is a contractor position with an hourly rate of $30–$45/hour, based on experience, skillset, and scope of responsibilities. Candidates with content creation capabilities (photo/video shooting and editing using personal equipment) and agency experience are strongly preferred and may be considered at the higher end of the range.
