Position Overview:
Cereus Marketers is seeking a skilled and strategic CRM / Email Marketing Specialist to lead lifecycle marketing and retention efforts across a portfolio of client accounts. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agency environment and has a passion for helping wellness and outdoor brands engage their communities through segmentation, automation, and data-driven content.
As this is a contract position, this role requires use of personal equipment.
Responsibilities:
Email Campaign Development & Execution
- Create and manage email marketing calendars and workflows across various client accounts.
- Write compelling, on-brand copy and collaborate with designers to develop email templates that drive engagement.
- Execute campaigns across platforms multiple Client platforms such as Active Campaign, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and HubSpot.
- A/B test subject lines, creative, and content to optimize open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
CRM Strategy & Automation
- Build and manage customer journeys, automated flows, and triggered messages based on user behavior and lifecycle stage.
- Develop segmentation strategies that increase personalization and performance.
- Maintain and grow healthy, compliant email lists through lead generation, preference centers, and data hygiene practices.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze performance metrics and report on key KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, revenue attribution, and list growth.
- Make data-driven recommendations to continuously improve CRM/email marketing strategies.
- Present insights and optimization strategies to internal teams and clients.
Platform Expertise
- Ensure CRM/email marketing best practices are being followed across all clients.
- Stay current on privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM), platform capabilities, and industry trends.
- Recommend new tools or features to enhance performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of CRM and email marketing experience, ideally within an agency or multi-brand environment.
- Strong expertise with platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, and other ESPs.
- Experience building and optimizing automations, segments, and dynamic content.
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and content strategy skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; experience with Google Analytics, UTM tracking, and CRM data analysis.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts and calendars.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A genuine interest in wellness, outdoor, or lifestyle brands is a plus.

Compensation Range:
This is a contractor position with an hourly rate of $25-40/hour, depending on experience, skillset, and client scope. Approximately 15–20 hours per week with the potential to grow based on performance and agency/client needs.
