Position Overview:

We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager—someone who’s equal parts strategic and scrappy, and thrives in a fast-moving, get-it-done environment. This role is ideal for a self-starter who knows how to take direction and run with it, bringing marketing plans to life across digital channels and in the real world. You’ll own execution across social media, email, and paid campaigns—and often be on the ground capturing content at brand activations and events. No two days look the same, and that’s just how you like it.

You’ll be managing social accounts, writing content, launching emails, optimizing ads, and showing up for client events—all with minimal oversight.

As this is a contract position, this role requires use of personal equipment. 

Key Responsibilities

Execution-Focused Marketing Support:

• Manage day-to-day execution of digital marketing across email, social, and paid platforms.
• Plan, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms for multiple clients.
• Run and optimize paid social campaigns (primarily on Meta and TikTok).
• Build and launch email marketing campaigns across multiple Client owned platforms (such as Shopify, Active Campaign, Klavio, Mailchimp, Hubspot).
• Attend and support in-person client activations and events—capturing content and posting in real time.
• Capture and edit photo and video content when needed. 
• Write compelling copy for social captions, emails, and landing pages with an understanding of brand voice and goals.
• Conduct community management (responding to DMs, engaging with followers, building audience loyalty).

Ownership & Reporting:

• Own campaign calendars and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide ongoing insights and optimizations.
• Track KPIs and compile performance reports with actionable next steps.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in hands-on marketing roles, ideally within an agency or brand with a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proven track record in social media management, email marketing and paid social campaign execution.
• Strong writing skills—comfortable crafting brand-aligned copy for social, email, and digital channels.
• Ability to shoot and edit content using personal equipment for deliverables such as Reels/TikToks. 
• Expert working in Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager.
• Confident showing up at brand activations and client events; must be comfortable engaging in person and behind the camera.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive—able to take initiative, work independently, and own the outcome.
• Strong multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Passion for wellness, lifestyle, or outdoor industries is a plus.

Location Requirements: 

Many of our Clients are based in Southern California and on-site Client meetings/ Client activations/ Client shoot attendance are a requirement of this role. Please only apply if you are able to fulfill these requirements. 

Compensation Range:

This is a contractor position with an hourly rate of $30-45/hour, depending on experience, skillset, and scope of responsibilities.

Approximately 15–20 hours per week with the potential to grow based on performance and agency/client needs.
