Job Summary
The Shipping Coordinator ensures the accurate, timely, and efficient shipment of finished goods from the manufacturing facility to customers or distribution centers. This role manages daily shipping operations, prepares documentation, coordinates with carriers, and supports inventory and logistics functions to maintain smooth outbound workflow.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

- Coordinate and schedule daily outbound shipments with freight carriers, couriers, and logistics partners.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and export paperwork.
- Ensure orders are picked, packed, and staged accurately according to customer requirements and shipping deadlines.
- Communicate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to resolve order or scheduling issues.
- Maintain shipping records, tracking information, and carrier performance data.
- Monitor inventory levels for outgoing orders and report discrepancies.
- Operate shipping software, ERP systems, and warehouse equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in shipping processes and logistics efficiency.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, grasping, and reaching throughout the
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up raw materials / finished product using a pallet
- Requires strong manual dexterity, including hand and finger coordination, the ability to grasp objects, and the use of color
- Safety shoes must be worn at all times while on the production

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with a focus in mathematics.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and warehouse operations.
- Proficient in data entry, mathematics, computer use, and written/verbal communication.
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse environments (manufacturing preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
- Familiarity with ERP and shipping systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, UPS/FedEx).
- Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures.
