Immediately hiring for 2nd shift Machine Packers for our envelope manufacturing facility in
Chicopee, MA
Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:
- Pay starts at $16/hr 2nd shift premium $1/hr
- 2nd shift 3pm - 11pm ; Training is on 1st shift 7am -- 3pm
- Schedule: Mon -- Fri; Sat required during busy season/business needs.
Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:
- Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed orweb envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
- Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
- Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
- May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-
- Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
- Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
- Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
- Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.

Qualifications:
Machine Packer Requirements/Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
- Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
- Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills
