Job Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, accounting operations, and close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, forecasts, and financial analyses to support reporting quality and compliance.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax professionals, and other key stakeholders involved in the financial reporting process.
- Lead special projects, including acquisitions, capital transactions, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to accounting teams while supporting cross functional business objectives.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) credential.
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least five years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting operations within a public company environment.
- Previous experience with ERP systems and financial reporting technologies, preferably in complex organizational structures.
- Prior experience in both public accounting and private industry environments.
- Financial services, asset management, or investment industry experience.
- Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and time zones.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities with a focus on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, finance teams, and business partners.
