Job Responsibilities
- Manage end to end payroll operations and ensure employees are paid accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Oversee payroll reporting requirements, including certified payroll, union reporting, tax filings, and year end processing activities.
- Review payroll data, labor allocations, job costing details, and account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with operations, accounting, auditors, and other stakeholders to address payroll related matters and reporting needs.
- Lead and develop payroll team members while establishing priorities and ensuring critical deadlines are met.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 years of payroll management experience with responsibility for high volume payroll processing.
- Previous experience administering certified payroll and union payroll within a regulated business environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, compliance requirements, and payroll reporting procedures.
- Advanced proficiency with payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, and related workforce management tools.
- Prior experience with construction, contracting, or project based business environments.
- Strong understanding of labor costing, workforce reporting, and payroll compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising, mentoring, and developing payroll staff.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
