- Assist the Senior Controller in managing all accounting functions, including general ledger and financial reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and payroll allocations.
- Coordinate with HR and payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoices, check runs, ACH payments, and reimbursements.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and payroll-related accounts monthly to maintain accuracy.
- Demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online and ADP payroll systems.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Apply strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external vendors.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and ensure accurate financial documentation.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end and year-end close.
- Possess experience in nonprofit accounting and fund or grant management.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work under time constraints.
- Operate as a self-motivated team player with a commitment to professional development.
