- Process payroll activities and maintain accurate employee compensation records while ensuring timely completion of payroll cycles.
- Review timekeeping information, payroll adjustments, deductions, and employee data to support payroll accuracy.
- Prepare payroll related reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules for accounting records and reporting purposes.
- Support billing, payment processing, and other accounting activities while maintaining accurate financial documentation.
- Assist with month end close tasks, audits, system improvement initiatives, and special accounting projects as needed.
- A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of payroll processing, account reconciliations, and basic accounting principles.
- Possess proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
- Maintain the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to research discrepancies and resolve payroll or accounting issues.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when processing payroll transactions and maintaining financial records.
- Communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain strong organizational skills while handling confidential information and high volumes of data.
- Bring experience with enterprise accounting systems, payroll platforms, process improvement initiatives, or financial system implementations considered beneficial.
