Position Overview
The Banquet Bartender plays a key role in elevating The Medallion Club experience during weddings, private events, and special celebrations. This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail in a member‑focused environment. The ideal candidate is service‑driven, knowledgeable, and committed to upholding club standards while delivering exceptional hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities
- Mix, prepare, and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards approved by the Beverage Manager.
- Provide warm, attentive service to members and guests throughout events.
- Issue checks and process beverage transactions accurately through the POS system.
- Maintain daily inventory of liquor, beer, wine, and tobacco products; restock items as needed and track high‑demand beverages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and polished bar area, including equipment cleaning and glassware polishing.
- Set up portable bars for events, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring proper inventory and readiness.
- Keep liquor, beer, and wine storage areas clean, organized, and secure.
- Break down bar setups and properly store stock and equipment at the conclusion of events.
- Support fellow team members and event staff to ensure seamless, high‑quality service.
- Demonstrate a commitment to service, teamwork, and upholding club standards.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and common cocktails.
- Alcohol Server Certification required.
- Warm, professional demeanor with a passion for exceeding member expectations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently during high‑volume events.
- Commitment to hospitality, safety, and excellence in a member‑focused environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. overhead.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Regular use of POS systems, computers, calculators, and credit card machines.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with high guest volume.
