Estimating Manager

Our client is seeking an Estimating Manager to work on complex high-rise condo and multifamily projects across Florida.

Responsibilities:

Project Evaluation:

• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and client requirements.
• Conduct site visits to gather relevant information for accurate cost estimation.

Cost Estimation:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates.
• Adjust estimates based on project location, market conditions, and risk factors.

Bid Preparation:

• Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals within the required deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights.
• Ensure all bids comply with company policies and client requirements.

Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:

• Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors and subcontractors.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project estimates and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Monitor changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs.
• Prepare and present detailed estimate reports and summaries to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in estimating and bidding on commercial construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
