A nationally recognized General Contractor with a strong presence across Florida is continuing to expand its operations in the Tampa Bay market.
They are seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to join a growing team supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, municipal, and public sector projects throughout the Tampa Bay and Central Florida region.
This role is ideal for someone early in their estimating career who wants to grow within a structured preconstruction environment. You will gain direct exposure to complex projects, receive mentorship from experienced preconstruction leaders, and contribute to projects from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of detailed quantity takeoffs and estimates throughout all phases of design.
- Support Preconstruction Managers with scope development, subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and value engineering.
- Maintain and organize bid documents, drawings, specifications, and estimating files.
- Help track project budgets, schedules, and key preconstruction milestones.
- Participate in internal planning meetings and client, architect, and subcontractor discussions as needed.
- Provide administrative and technical support throughout the bidding and preconstruction process.

Requirements
- 1 to 4 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project engineering.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, municipal, and public sector construction.
- Experience or familiarity with the Tampa Bay or Central Florida market is preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
