Assistant Project Manager – Construction
- Assist the Project Manager with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Manage and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, contracts, purchase orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management, identifying potential delays or cost issues.
- Attend and lead project meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on outstanding action items.
- Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work to help identify design conflicts, scope gaps, and constructability concerns.
- Support the Superintendent and Project Manager with quality control, safety, inspections, closeout, and turnover activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders while ensuring work is completed in accordance with contract requirements, safety standards, schedule, and quality expectations.
Ideal Background:
- 3 years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Engineer, APM, or similar role.
- Experience with ground-up construction, multifamily, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, or other large-scale projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project financials.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
