As part of our continued growth in Houston, we're looking for a commercially driven Business Development Recruitment Consultant to build and grow a specialist market within one of the most resilient and rewarding sectors in executive search.
This is a genuine 360 recruitment role for someone who thrives on winning new business, developing client relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and delivering exceptional recruitment solutions from initial conversation through to successful placement.

What You'll Be Doing
- Building and developing your own specialist market within construction or property development
- Winning new client partnerships through proactive business development and client acquisition
- Identifying new opportunities and generating long-term recruitment revenue
- Developing relationships with senior hiring managers, directors, and business leaders
- Negotiating recruitment terms, commercial agreements, and placement fees
- Advising and influencing clients throughout the hiring process, including confidently challenging stakeholders when appropriate
- Managing executive search assignments from client brief through to successful placement
- Building long-term candidate and client networks within your specialist market
- Delivering an exceptional consultative service that creates repeat business and referrals
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience within agency recruitment or executive search
- A successful track record in business development and winning new clients
- Experience managing a full 360 recruitment desk
- Strong client-facing experience with the confidence to negotiate fees, commercial terms, and service agreements
- Ability to influence, challenge, and advise senior stakeholders throughout the hiring process
- Experience generating recruitment revenue and consistently achieving billing targets
- A consultative sales approach with excellent relationship-building skills
- Highly motivated, commercially driven, and ambitious
Highly Desirable
- Recruitment experience within construction, property development, engineering, or professional services
- Experience delivering retained or executive search assignments
- A history of building and growing successful client accounts
- Strong market mapping and networking experience

This Role Isn't for Everyone
This is a business development-led recruitment position.
It is not suited to recruiters who only enjoy candidate delivery, sourcing, talent acquisition, or account management.
We're looking for someone who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements, influencing senior decision-makers, and building long-term client partnerships.
At Centurion Selection, you'll be given the autonomy, support, and opportunity to build your own recruitment business within the U.S. construction and property development markets.
