Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team on a PRN basis. As an RN in the PCU, you will provide intermediate-level care to patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments, often due to complex medical conditions. This role is ideal for experienced nurses seeking flexibility and a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered nursing care in a PCU setting.
• Monitor and assess patients with acute and chronic conditions, identifying changes in status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families.
• Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Document all patient care accurately and timely using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Respond to emergency situations with swift, effective interventions.
• Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in patient care.
  
  

Required Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Hawaii.
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Step-Down/Telemetry nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
