Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Salem, VA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ER setting. This position requires critical thinking, the ability to perform under pressure, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat patients experiencing medical emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans accordingly
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide timely, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
• Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards
  
  

Qualifications

• Required:
• Diploma or Associate Degree from an accredited nursing program
• Active RN license in Virginia or multi-state compact RN license eligible to practice in Virginia
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an Emergency Room (ER) in an acute care setting
• Preferred:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or currently enrolled in a BSN program
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are highly preferred
