Location: Watertown, NY, 13601

Duration: 13-weeks Contract

Shift: 12-hr Days | 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,340; (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to progressive care patients.
• Perform patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective and safe patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Ensure patient safety through proper use of lifts and equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• May serve in a charge nurse capacity as required.
  
  

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active and Valid RN license (New York).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• IV and IV contrast certification required.
• PALS preferred.
• Minimum of one successful travel assignment required.
• Recent critical care experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to assess clinical, educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function well in high-stress environments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
