Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition at admission and each scheduled shift; promptly identify and report any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other medical functions as ordered by providers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in case of adverse effects.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs proactively, and resolve concerns to provide exceptional care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring understanding and adherence.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Med-Surg RN experience is required.
- Certifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) are a plus.
