Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Assess and triage patients in the ED, including monitoring vitals, reviewing medical history, and identifying urgent healthcare needs.
- Emergency Care: Administer treatments, medications, and interventions as per established protocols or physician orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical staff, to coordinate patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports, ensuring compliance with medical and legal standards.
- Crisis Management: Assist in high-pressure medical situations, providing immediate interventions when needed, such as during trauma or cardiac arrest events.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of both patients and staff.
- Education: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Hawaii.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ER/ED nursing experience.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
