Registered Nurse- Med/Surg
Location: Fort Defiance, AZ
Pay Rate: $60.00 $63.00/hr
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience: Minimum 3 years
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Med-Surg RN for a 13-week contract in Fort Defiance, AZ. This role supports a 20-bed medical-surgical unit caring for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric Med-Surg patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments per facility standards
- Support inpatient care and assist with flu immunization clinics as needed
- Float to other qualified departments when required
- Maintain accurate documentation in RPMS
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Attend staff meetings and follow facility policies
Requirements
- Active Arizona RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg experience required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required
- Must be comfortable with adult and pediatric patients
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- RPMS experience preferred
- Must be flexible for nights, days, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
