Job title: Registered Nurse (Med Surg)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical (Med Surg) unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support the multidisciplinary team, and ensure the optimal health and well-being of all patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide direct patient care in a medical surgical setting

2. Assess patient condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions

3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician

4. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team

5. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

6. Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques

7. Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing interventions

8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality

9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid RN license in the state of practice

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting

3. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

7. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
