We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) / Critical Access for a 13-week contract covering Kremmling and Granby, Colorado. The RN will provide emergency nursing care to patients with acute and emergent conditions while supporting assessment, treatment, stabilization, and coordination of care from admission through discharge.

Candidates must be comfortable working night shifts across both locations, participating in required on-call and holiday coverage, and functioning independently in a critical access emergency care environment. Previous Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience is preferred.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with emergency and acute medical conditions.

• Rapidly identify changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate emergency nursing interventions according to established protocols.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while supporting stabilization, trauma care, and ongoing monitoring of emergency patients.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate safe and effective emergency patient care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and provide coverage across the Kremmling and Granby locations as assigned.

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse Experience Required; Critical Access Hospital Experience Preferred.

• Current, Active Registered Nurse License Required; Applicable Colorado Nursing Practice Requirements Must Be Met Before Start.

• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required.

• Current PALS or Equivalent Pediatric Emergency Certification and TNCC Certification Required.

• Ability to Work Night Shifts, Cover Both Kremmling and Granby Locations, Participate in 2 Required Call Shifts, and Work Required Holidays.

This contract opportunity is suited for an experienced Emergency Department RN comfortable providing high-acuity care in a Critical Access Hospital environment and supporting multiple rural emergency care locations.
