V1 / Video Department Lead

Centric Events – Phoenix, AZ

Help Us Create Experiences That People Talk About Long After the Event Ends.

Centric Events is looking for a high-level V1 and Video Department Lead who is passionate about storytelling, production excellence, leadership, and creating unforgettable event experiences.

This role is much bigger than simply “running video.” We are looking for someone who can own and grow the video department while also serving as a lead-level V1 on corporate events, concerts, galas, conferences, worship events, and live productions throughout Arizona and beyond.

If you thrive in high-pressure environments, love solving problems, enjoy building systems, and want to help shape the future of a growing production company — this role may be for you.

About Centric Events

Centric Events is one of Arizona’s highest-rated event production and rental companies, focused on audio, video, lighting, staging, and event experiences. We exist to build and equip a team of next-level pros that flawlessly plan, prep, and execute events that win a client’s business again and again.

We are not a “clock in and clock out” company. We are a team of hands-on problem solvers, creators, and event professionals who care deeply about execution, culture, and client experience.

Position Overview

The V1 / Video Department Lead is responsible for:

  • Leading video execution on events
  • Programming and operating video systems
  • Managing LED wall systems, switchers, playback, and signal flow
  • Supporting projection and screen systems
  • Helping standardize and organize the video department
  • Assisting with prep, maintenance, and gear strategy
  • Training and developing video team members
  • Supporting warehouse and event operations when needed
  • Helping improve workflows, systems, and execution standards

This role is both technical and leadership-oriented. We are looking for someone who can not only execute events at a high level, but also help build the future of our video department.

  • Able to lead while remaining hands-on
  • Strong at communication and teamwork

  • Willing to own problems and help solve them

We care just as much about culture fit and attitude as technical ability.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a full-time position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

The event industry is not a standard Monday-Friday environment. Evening, weekend, holiday, and long event days are a normal part of this role.

Some travel may occasionally be required.

When not onsite at events, this role will support warehouse prep, department organization, equipment maintenance, training, and production planning.
