Centric Events | Phoenix, AZ (101 & Cave Creek Rd)

Help bring corporate events, conferences, and live productions to life across Arizona.

About the Role

Centric Events is seeking dependable team members to join our Night & Weekend Event Production Team.

This part-time role supports our event execution teams by assisting with the setup, installation, and strike of audio, lighting, staging, and event rental equipment for corporate events, conferences, concerts, and private productions across Arizona.

Because many events take place during evenings and weekends, this team plays a critical role in ensuring events are delivered professionally, safely, and on time.

Internally, we often refer to this group as our “Event Warriors” — the team members who step in during nights and weekends to help bring events to life.

This role is about more than loading trucks. Every well-packed case, carefully placed light, and organized load-out contributes to smoother events, happier clients, and a stronger team.

If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and being part of a team that values doing things the right way, this role offers a great opportunity to gain experience in the live event production industry.

About Centric Events

Centric Events is Arizona’s highest-rated event production company, specializing in corporate events, conferences, and live productions where reliability, professionalism, and execution matter.

Our mission is to build and equip a team of next-level professionals who flawlessly plan, prep, and execute events that win a client’s business again and again.

We are a hands-on, team-oriented production company with high standards, clear expectations, and a long-term mindset.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Event Setup & Strike

  • Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently
  • Setting up lighting, audio, staging, and event rental equipment
  • Assisting with event installations and teardown
  • Supporting organized load-outs and equipment returns

Event Execution Support

  • Working alongside experienced technicians and event leads onsite
  • Assisting production teams during event setups and strikes
  • Maintaining professionalism with clients and venues
  • Representing the company well in public environments

This is a hands-on role. Everyone at Centric contributes to physical setup and teardown regardless of experience level.

What Success Looks Like

  • Event teams receive organized and well-prepared equipment
  • Load-ins and strikes run smoothly and efficiently
  • Trucks are packed thoughtfully and safely
  • Communication with the team is clear and proactive
  • Clients experience a professional and well-executed event

Schedule Expectations

This role is designed primarily for evenings and weekends, including:

  • Weeknight events
  • Weekend events
  • Late-night strikes
  • Occasional daytime warehouse prep shifts

Typical shifts range from 4–10 hours depending on the event schedule.

Reliability Matters

Live events depend on every team member showing up prepared and on time. When one person is late or missing, it directly impacts the entire team and the client experience.

Because of this, we place a high value on reliability, punctuality, and following through on commitments. Team members who consistently show up prepared and on time are trusted with more opportunities and preferred shifts.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Comfortable with physical work and extended time on your feet
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to meet the company’s commercial vehicle insurance requirements
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

Helpful Experience (Not Required)

The following experience is helpful but not required. We are happy to train motivated team members who have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

  • Event setup or event production experience
  • Experience driving box trucks, cargo vans, or trailers
  • Hospitality or customer service experience
  • Wedding, event, or live production industry experience
  • Ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot during live events

Experience in events or AV is not required — we are happy to train motivated team members.

Compensation

$25 per hour

  • Paid every two weeks via direct deposit
  • Opportunities to gain hands-on experience in audio, lighting, staging, and event production
  • Opportunities to pick up additional shifts as available

This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling based on event needs.

Why Work at Centric

Live events demand a lot, but they shouldn’t cost you your health, family, or sanity.

At Centric, we work hard to plan ahead, communicate clearly, and build systems that allow our team to deliver excellent events without unnecessary chaos.

What supports that commitment:

  • Professional planning and prep that reduces last-minute stress
  • Clear expectations and leadership on events
  • A team culture built around respect, ownership, and long-term growth

You’ll still work hard here — this is live production — but you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.
