About the Role
Centric Events is seeking an experienced Senior Video Engineer (V1) to help deliver clear, confident visual experiences across corporate events, conferences, and live productions throughout Arizona.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparation, execution, and teamwork. You’ll work closely with project managers, event leads, and fellow technicians to ensure video systems are thoughtfully designed, properly deployed, and professionally operated from load-in to strike.
We’re not looking for someone who just pushes buttons — we’re looking for someone who understands the “why” behind video systems and enjoys helping others grow in their craft.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Designing, deploying, and operating video systems for live events
Operating video switchers and managing signal flow
Configuring projection, LED walls, and video distribution systems
Setting up and dialing in professional camera systems
Supporting multi-camera productions and assisting with camera operation when needed
Managing video and audio recording workflows for client deliverables and post-production editing
Coordinating video needs with project managers and event leads
Troubleshooting technical issues calmly and effectively on site
Assisting with load-in, setup, strike, and load-out
Maintaining clean, organized, and professional workspaces
This is a hands-on role. Everyone at Centric contributes to physical setup and teardown, regardless of experience level.

Video systems are properly prepared and thoughtfully deployed
Camera systems are well-balanced and professional in appearance
Recordings are clean and properly captured for client delivery
Clients feel confident and well-supported
Issues are identified early and handled professionally
Communication with the team is clear and proactive
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 5 years of live event video production experience
Strong understanding of video signal flow and live switching environments
Experience working with professional camera systems and multi-camera productions
Experience managing video and audio recording workflows for client delivery
Comfort operating in fast-paced live event environments
A heart of a teacher — someone who enjoys helping others learn and grow
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work extended event days as needed
Preferred
LED wall or large-format video experience
Camera shading or color matching experience
Playback and media server experience
Video editing experience (Premiere, Final Cut, or Resolve)
Fiber or advanced video transport experience
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and demonstrated skill.
A hybrid pay structure may be available, including day rates on select projects in addition to hourly compensation, depending on role, responsibility level, and project scope.
