Central Virginia Swim School is growing, and we're looking for exceptional swim instructors to grow with us.
This September, we're opening our first indoor swim lesson facility on Berkmar Court in Charlottesville. Featuring two commercial Endless Pools designed specifically for swim instruction, our new facility will allow us to provide year-round, high-quality lessons in a comfortable environment.
We are also hiring instructors for our established year-round program at Fork Union Military Academy.

What You'll Do
- Teach private and small-group swim lessons for students of all ages and abilities
- Create engaging lessons that build confidence, technique, and water safety
- Adapt instruction to each swimmer's individual goals and learning style
- Build positive relationships with swimmers and their families
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional pool environment
What We're Looking For
- Confident, technically strong swimmer
- Previous swim instruction experience
- Positive, patient, and encouraging teaching style
- Dependable with excellent communication skills
- Passion for helping swimmers reach their goals
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of one year teaching swim lessons to a variety of ages and skill levels
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation
- Starting at $24/hour
- Additional compensation for teaching small-group classes (groups of 3)
