Summary of Position
To assist the Department Chair in the instructional department to teach courses of instruction that the students need to obtain Certificates and Associate Degrees and to provide counseling and guidance to students.
Adjunct (part-time), semester-based employment with compensation based on course load and institutional pay schedule.
Education and Experience
- Master Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
- Master in Mathematics from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education preferred
- Three years teaching in the College Mathematics level preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Ability
- Qualified to teach Contemporary Mathematics, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Finite Math, Business Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Linear Algebra.
- Willingness to teach traditional, online & dual credit courses.
- Demonstrate a high level of verbal and writing skills as well as computational skills
Essential Functions
- Teach the assigned course load
- Conduct classroom instruction at the highest possible level of efficiency and interest for students
- Certify and complete all documents required for administrative record keeping as required by the Central Texas College Registrar
- Meet the record keeping criteria and time schedule published in the administrative instructions for record keeping documents, i.e. certification of class rolls, class record books, and final grades.
- Perform other duties directed by the Department Chair of the Mathematics Department
