We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for our Fenton, MO location. This position assists the Controller with accounting and finance functions including financial reporting, internal audits and inventory control.

- Perform timely month end close and prepare financial statements. Ensure that all general ledger trial balance accounts are properly stated, supported and reconciled to underlying documents. This effect includes bank reconciliations, debt reconciliations, AR, AP, Inventory and all other asset, liability and income statement accounts and balances.
- Financial statement analysis budget vs. actual.
- Perform monthly close coordinated with the efforts of other involved staff.
- Oversee all job costing, revenue and cost recognition, inventory valuation and physical inventories.
- Coordinate preparation of annual budget and reporting of actual results against plan.
- Assist with annual audit and income tax return preparation.
- Oversee all Accounts Receivable activity including billing and cash receipt processing and credit underwriting and collection efforts.
- Oversee the process for calculation, accrual and payment of all commission and other incentives.
- Supervise all fixed asset accounting including additions, retirements, transfers, maintenance of book and tax records, leasing of rental buses, and personal property declarations.
- Supervise preparation, filing and payment of all sales/use taxes.
- Correct, investigate, and prevent broken transaction in the ERP as needed,
- Continuous effort to train staff to code non routine invoices and approve expenditures as assigned.
- Assist with developing, maintaining and implementing of SOP.
- Prepare and assess management Key Performance Indicators.
- Work with Controller and other management team to optimize the Company's utilization of cloud-based ERP, included custom report/search creation.
- Work with Controller and other management team to continually improve operational efficiency.
- Administer parts inventory adjustments, inventory control best practices, and coordinate year-end physical inventory count.
- Facilitate effective communication and training of accounting department staff, as appropriate. Other various projects as requested.
- Preparation of yearly budget

- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or related.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting and supervisory experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with strong emphasis using Excel.
