What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Non-Instructional Aide position at Central Office?
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Help students develop and observe proper rules
and procedures
*Monitor and maintain behavior and reinforce acceptable
behavior, promote wholesome intra-school and
community - school relations
*When needed, organize students into orderly groups to assist
them in their assigned areas
*Inform the teacher or Principal of any serious infraction of
disciplinary rules by students
*Assist with setting up and using instructional equipment
such as computers, audiovisual equipment, and related
technology
*Maintain the confidentiality of student/staff information and
records, and student behavior
*Monitor activities in the hall, lavatory, recess, lunch,
playground, classroom, or wherever assigned including,
but not limited to, emergency drills and assemblies
*Assist with other duties such as planning activities,
preparing instructional materials and classroom records
and assisting with the organization of various activities
from beginning to end
*Implement and execute provisions of State Statutes,
Board Policies and Administrative rules and regulations
*Deal with occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids,
and students with various illnesses
*Interact with a diverse student population
*Handle interactions among unruly children
*Comply with all Plain Local Board of Education policies
and procedures
*Perform other duties as directed
