Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our team. School Social Workers play a vital role in creating a supportive, inclusive school environment that enables students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. They are integral members of the school community, providing vital support and guidance to students, families, and staff in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. As mental health professionals, they collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct thorough assessments, consultations, and interventions to identify and address students' needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and external community agencies
- Help students navigate barriers that hinder their academic success
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and conflict
- Develop and implementing targeted intervention strategies to promote social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and execute comprehensive support plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Conduct assessments to identify necessary services, facilitating communication between the school and families, and ensuring cohesive support across environment.
- Coordinate with external agencies and community resources to offer additional services, such as mental health counseling or social services
- Provide crisis intervention when urgent mental health or safety concerns arise.
- Lead workshops or training sessions for students, staff, and parents on topics related to mental health, coping strategies, or conflict resolution.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.
- Valid state licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social work or a related fied.
- Experience working as a school Social Worker preferred.
- Strong understanding of social services systems and community resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
Hours- 7:20am - 2:40pm
