What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable position at Central Carolina Technical College?
Job Responsibilities
Issues accounts payable checks. Prepares vouchers for payment. Audits invoices for completeness and correctness, matching with purchase order and receiving document for payment. Performs daily, monthly, and yearly close out of Banner. Produce the daily and monthly cycles. Prepares various analysis of accounts and makes journal entries as needed. Balance detailed accounts payable which includes credit memos, packing slips and ongoing project accounts (E-form). Prepares monthly journal entries to allocate costs to departmental accounts. Provides support documentation for report preparation. Maintains accurate accounts payable files. Communicates with vendors, faculty and staff to clarify discrepancies and locate missing documents.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in entry-level accounting or bookkeeping. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.
