What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Assistant | Float between St Joseph and Albany Clinics position at Centra Care?

Our Patient Access Assistants are the first point of contact for our patients and visitors and perform registration duties within the hospital and clinic. This role requires independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. You will be responsible for verifying patient and insurance information, scheduling appointments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts and more!
Schedule:
Part-time | 48 hours every two weeks- no set days | This position will float between St Joseph Clinic and Albany Clinic
- Day shift | 8-hour shifts | Monday - Friday working hours between 7am-5pm No weekends or holidays
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $18.28 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
- Pay range: $17.00 - $25.54 per hour

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year clerical, administrative, or customer service experience; OR 1 year of prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience
- Customer service skills are essential Good verbal and written communications skills required.
