Position Overview
Centinela Valley Endoscopy Center is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Endoscopy Technician to support daily procedural operations within our ambulatory surgery center. This role assists physicians and nursing staff during gastrointestinal procedures while ensuring procedure rooms, equipment, and scopes are properly prepared, maintained, and processed in accordance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures
* Prepare and set up procedure rooms prior to patient cases
* Clean, disinfect, and process endoscopes and procedural equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards
* Maintain proper handling, storage, and transportation of scopes and equipment
* Assist with room turnover between procedures efficiently and safely
* Ensure adequate stocking of procedural and clinical supplies
* Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance concerns promptly
* Support patient flow and procedural workflow throughout the day
* Maintain cleanliness and organization within procedural areas
* Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols at all times
* Document equipment processing and quality control logs as required

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
* Professional communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety standards
* Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with procedural workflow
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior endoscopy technician, GI, ASC, sterile processing, or surgical technician experience preferred
* Experience with endoscope reprocessing and procedural equipment
* CPR/BLS certification preferred
* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
* Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center operations
