Full-time
New York City
AI Strategist
Define and shape agent-powered recruiting workflows in partnership with customers and engineering.
About This Role
Centh AI is looking for a Founding AI Strategist to sit at the intersection of customers, product, and engineering. Your job is to understand how recruiters and operations teams actually work today and turn that into clear, agent-powered workflows on top of their ATS. You'll spend time with users, map messy processes into structured flows, design where agents act versus where humans decide, and work closely with engineers to ship these flows into production. This role is part product, part strategy, part workflow design—with a direct line to what Centh becomes.

You'll spend time with users, map messy processes into structured flows, design where agents act versus where humans decide, and work closely with engineers to ship these flows into production. Key Responsibilities
- Talk with recruiters, hiring managers and operations leaders to understand how sourcing, screening, compliance and follow-up really happen today
- Turn interviews, notes and observations into clear, structured workflows and diagrams that engineers can build from
- Design multi-step agent flows that specify which agents do what, where humans approve or intervene, and how success is measured
- Write prompts, tool-calling patterns and guardrails so agent behavior is robust and repeatable, not just a one-off prompt
- Define what 'good' output looks like for each flow (e.g., high-quality shortlist, clear screening summary, strong submission) and how we evaluate it
- Set up lightweight qualitative and quantitative evaluation loops and use them to iterate on the workflows
- Help run early pilots with customers, including onboarding, workflow setup, feedback collection and iteration
- Contribute to internal and external narratives, demos and playbooks that explain how these workflows work and why they matter
- Experience turning messy real-world processes into structured flows, documents, playbooks or product specs
- Comfort talking directly with operators (recruiters, ops leaders, sales or similar) and translating what they say into clear requirements
- Ability to take a vague problem ('our process is slow or inconsistent') and break it into a concrete workflow and set of experiments
- Hands-on work with LLMs or agents, or strong self-directed projects where you've built and tested AI-driven flows yourself
- Comfort thinking in both narrative and numbers, including metrics like time-to-fill, conversion, redeployment and revenue per recruiter
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to work side-by-side with engineers on implementation details
- Interest in joining a very early-stage team with high expectations, direct feedback and meaningful ownership
- Experience in staffing, recruiting, HR tech or similar operations is a plus, not required
