About the Role
NOW HIRING: Systems Analyst (IT Specialist – Systems Analysis) – GS-13 Center for Program Integrity (CPI) | Data Analytics and Systems Group (DASG) CMS is hiring Systems Analysts to design and implement modern IT systems that help detect fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid.
Responsibilities
- Analyze IT needs (including data access and security) to design systems and recommend solutions
- Plan and coordinate system design and development activities across platforms and data environments
- Translate business and program objectives into IT system solutions
- Support modernization efforts to improve system effectiveness and performance
- Present technical information and project updates to stakeholders
- Develop project documentation (plans, schedules, statements of work)
Qualifications
Applicants must have 1 year specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, including:

- Managing IT programs or projects delivering systems or technology solutions
- Analyzing systems to recommend improvements (architecture, development lifecycle, cloud, cybersecurity)
- Presenting technical/project information to stakeholders

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: $117,284 – $158,322/year (varies by location)
