The Event Operations Technician supports the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of large- and small-scale public events within Center City districts. Working under the direction of the Event Operations Team Lead, this role performs hands-on event operations, equipment handling, and site preparation.
During periods without scheduled events, this position supports the Parks Operations team with preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and park improvement projects. This is a physically demanding, outdoor role requiring flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of public events
- Load, unload, transport, and arrange event equipment including tables, chairs, barricades, tents, staging, signage, and related materials
- Execute event layouts and site plans as directed
- Support on-site event operations, including logistical adjustments and equipment needs
- Operate a Ford F-250 and tow and operate a heavy-duty hydraulic Meridian trailer, as assigned
- Assist with Open Streets programs, rentals, marketing activations, and sponsored events
- Prepare event equipment and materials prior to scheduled events
- Clean, organize, store, and assist with minor repairs of event equipment after events
- Support site preparation, space conversions, and post-event restoration
- Assist Parks Operations with preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and park improvement projects during non-event periods
- Report equipment damage, facility issues, or safety concerns promptly
- Follow all organizational safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and operational policies
- Work collaboratively with team members, vendors, and internal departments
- Work hours vary based on event schedules
- Availability required for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
