Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to move materials, clear sites, and assist with excavation.
- Assist with concrete finishing tasks and concrete forming to ensure durable and precise structures.
- Use utility locating tools and pipe lasers to accurately identify underground utilities and pipelines before excavation begins.
- Support plumbing, pipeline installation, and oil & gas projects by handling materials and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Perform construction site tasks such as trenching, pipe laying, and site cleanup to keep operations running smoothly.
- Conduct welding, blueprint reading, and basic concrete finishing as needed to meet project specifications.
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling while adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or utility work is highly preferred; familiarity with construction site safety practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, and forklift is essential.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing, pipe laser alignment, utility locating, and blueprint reading is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors or project managers.
- Basic welding skills or experience with plumbing or oil & gas projects will be considered an advantage.
