Utility Foreman

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction site activities related to utility pipelines, including installation, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support accurate project execution.
• Operate construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools to track progress and document work.
• Support project scheduling efforts by updating timelines and coordinating tasks with team members.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets safety standards and project specifications in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Use tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and ensure proper functioning of all installed systems.
• Collaborate with supervisors on supervising construction crews, managing daily operations, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist in budgeting activities by monitoring resource usage and supporting cost estimation efforts through accurate documentation.
• Participate in site safety meetings and enforce safety practices on the construction site.
• Support contract management processes by reviewing scope documents and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management or related roles within heavy civil or utility projects.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Primavera is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving pipelines or utility infrastructure is essential.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety enforcement.
• Strong project scheduling skills with the ability to update timelines using Primavera P6 or similar tools.
• Supervising or management experience on construction sites is a plus.
• Ability to operate testing equipment like ohmmeters and understand electrical systems schematics.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and documenting project progress effectively.
