Senior CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Irvine, CA
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract

- Training: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (2nd Shift for several months)

High-Impact Aerospace Maintenance Opportunity
- We are actively seeking a Senior CNC Maintenance Mechanic / Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to support advanced manufacturing operations within a high-precision Aerospace & Aviation production environment supporting Parker Meggitt programs.
- This is a hands-on, senior-level maintenance role responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and performance of CNC machines, machine shop equipment, hydraulic systems, and critical production infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
CNC Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Set up, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, machining centers)
- Diagnose CNC control system failures (digital/analog)
- Perform alignment, calibration, and machine performance validation
- Support machine rebuilds, commissioning, and installation activities
Machine Shop Equipment Support
- Maintain and repair industrial production equipment including shapers, planers, jig bores, and presses
- Execute machine overhauls, relocations, and precision alignments
- Support production uptime through fast-response mechanical repairs
Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, accumulators)
- Maintain pneumatic systems including air distribution, regulators, and actuators
- Perform tube bending, piping fabrication, and leak/pressure diagnostics
Electrical & Industrial Controls
- Diagnose and repair industrial electrical systems and CNC controls
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems
- Support motor controls, servo drives, and power distribution systems
Fabrication & Welding Support
- Perform arc, MIG, and acetylene welding for repair and modification work
- Fabricate fixtures, tooling, piping, and machine support components
Maintenance Execution & Documentation
- Utilize CMMS systems for work orders and maintenance tracking
- Maintain accurate repair logs, equipment history, and inspection records
- Support preventive maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong preference: 7 years CNC / machine shop maintenance experience
- Aerospace, Aviation, Defense, or Precision Manufacturing strongly preferred
Technical Expertise
- CNC machine troubleshooting (mills, lathes, grinders, machining centers)
- Hydraulic & pneumatic systems maintenance and repair
- Industrial electrical systems troubleshooting
- Machine alignment, calibration, and rebuild experience
- Root cause failure analysis (RCA)
Controls & Systems Knowledge (Preferred)
- FANUC, Siemens, Haas, Mazatrol, Okuma, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley
Tools & Equipment
- Dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, laser alignment tools
- Welding equipment (arc, MIG, acetylene)
- Pipe/tube fabrication tools and hydraulic tooling
Blueprint & Technical Reading
- Ability to interpret: Mechanical blueprints, Electrical schematics, Hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, Engineering drawings & technical manuals
