Position Overview (Quick Summary)
We are hiring an Electronics Assembly Technician to perform precision soldering, PCB assembly, wiring harness work, and electrical testing in an ESD-controlled aerospace manufacturing environment. The role requires strong attention to detail, microscope-based assembly skills, and experience working with sensitive electronic components.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic and electromechanical components and subassemblies
- Perform microscope-based precision assembly of micro components
- Execute PCB assembly, wiring harness, and cable assembly work
- Perform hand soldering, rework, and touch-up soldering (SMT & through-hole)
- Conduct electrical testing including continuity, resistance, and HV testing (up to 12kV)
- Operate tools such as multimeters, microscopes, soldering irons, and crimping tools
- Follow ESD protocols and work in controlled aerospace environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of electronics or electromechanical assembly experience
- Hands-on experience with PCB assembly and soldering
- Experience working in manufacturing or production environments
- Strong manual dexterity for small, delicate components
- Ability to follow technical drawings and work instructions
- Experience with ESD-controlled environments
- Familiarity with inspection and testing tools (multimeters, microscopes)
Highly Preferred Experience
- Aerospace, defense, medical device, or avionics manufacturing
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification
- Experience with high-voltage testing (Hypot up to 12kV)
- SMT soldering and precision rework experience
- Wire harness / cable assembly experience
- Cleanroom or high-reliability manufacturing experience
